Learn Curling w/ IVCC @ Waltham Curling Club
Have you been curious about curling? Want to try a fun new sport this season? Join us for an Intro to Curling class! Whether you are brand new to the game or looking to refresh your skills, this event is perfect for anyone interested in learning the basics of this exciting winter sport.Taught by USCA Level 1 instructors and members of the Waltham Curling Club, the oldest curling club in Illinois. You will learn techniques of delivering the stone, sweeping, basic strategies, scoring and more.Attend alone or bring friends. Bad knees? No problem, there are options available for adapted play.The program meets for four sessions on Monday evenings March 2-23 from 6-8 PM at the Waltham Curling Club, Triumph.What to expect:
• Learn the rules and terminology of curling
• Get hands-on practice with sweeping, sliding, and throwing
stones
• Friendly, supportive coaching from experienced curlers
• All equipment provided - just bring yourself, warm, comfy
clothes, and carry in clean sneakers!No experience required.
